Saturday, May 16th - Update

Haven’t heard much from mom today but checked in with her nurse a few times already. Mom had an okay night. Woke up with anxiety and was tired so they gave her some extra anti anxiety meds which might have made her sleepier. Co2 on the monitor this morning at 6 am was around the 80s which isn’t super high for her. 

She had two walks already despite the slow morning. Nurse said she didn’t have lots of pain when she woke up so that’s a good sign. Told her about the headaches and heavy legs being a precursor to an episode.

Just talked to mom and she was like really sleepy. Couldn’t keep her eyes open. Called the nurse who was very dismissive and said she was fine. They checked her Co2 levels and they were in the 80s. She said she would bring it up to the team at hand off but I’m waiting for the doctor to call me back. Mom couldn’t even make it halfway during her third walk and almost fell.
