Thursday, April 2nd - Update

Oh hi!

Things don’t seem to slow down in the icu but in a good way. Progress means closer to getting moved to a regular floor! The doctors are going to let mom rest and heal on her current settings for a few days as her left lung heals. They will trial sealing the chest tube then clamping it and then if all good, removing it. Her heart rate slowed while sleeping and so is on a new medication to raise it a bit. Bp is stable. She went on a walk earlier and did 1 lap and another 3/4! My hero. She said it was really tough and uncomfortable but the OT & PT helped her stretch out after. Doctors said no to a bronchoscopy today but will do a 3 week bronch soon. Nothing notable from her CT scan yesterday.

It’s been 3 weeks since her transplant! She looked really great today. Her nurse brushed and braided her hair :) happy day!
